QUANTUM NOW

We are a deep tech spin-off from Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Technische Universität Braunschweig (TUBS), and Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) in Lower Saxony, Germany. We build commercial quantum computers and develop proprietary quantum processors based on ion trap technology.

Ion trap technology is one of the most promising hardware architectures to realize a practical quantum computer to date. Besides record-high fidelities for elementary gate operations, trapped ion qubits have the key advantage of long coherence times to store quantum information and to be intrinsically equal by nature.

The atomic qubits are confined by static and oscillating electric fields above the surface of a microfabricated ion trap representing the quantum processor. For improved scalability, QUDORA Technologies focuses on a laser-less approach for coherent qubit manipulation using oscillating magnetic fields which are produced by an embedded antenna inside the processor.

Based on cutting-edge quantum processors, QUDORA Technologies will develop a commercial full-stack quantum computer including a customer-friendly user-interface, cloud access and customer support. To this end, we rely on the region's expertise in quantum research as well as strong partnerships with research centers and companies.

About Us

Dr. Amado Bautista
Dr. Amado Bautista

CEO & Co-founder

Amado Bautista is passionated about quantum technology and a world-leading expert in the field of microfabrication of ion traps. In 2017 he invented and co-patented a multilayer ion trap fabrication process which represents a key technology core for QUDORA Technologies. Besides a master in nanomaterials from the University of Ulm, he also holds a PhD in physics. All in all he provides solutions in miniaturization and integration of ion traps to several research centers around the world since 13+ years.

Dr. Henning Hahn
Dr. Henning Hahn

COO & Co-founder

Henning Hahn studied physics at Leibniz Universität Hannover and started his career in quantum research at Institute for Quantum Optics (IQO) where he developed laser systems for applications in trapped-ion experiments. After receiving his PhD for realizing a two-qubit gate operation in a co-designed multi-qubit quantum processor he was promoted leading-scientist of the quantum computing laboratory at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt. In total he spend 10+ years in quantum research and co-designed 3+ quantum processor generations based on ion trap technology.
